Stick Inserter

While the piece leaving the cutting unit is still warm and soft, a stick is pushed into its centre; as the product cools, the stick locks into the mass. Timing is critical: a stick inserted too early splits the piece, too late it will not hold.

The stick magazine is synchronised to line speed, and pieces left without a stick are rejected.
