Distillation Unit

The mixture is vaporised in the heating vessel; as it rises through the column the heavier components condense and fall back, while the lighter fraction is drawn off the top and returned to liquid in the condenser. Separation sharpness depends on column height and reflux ratio.

Closed-loop cooling keeps water consumption low; all wetted surfaces are stainless steel and can be dismantled for cleaning.
